'-Graduation form

This morning, we had our track and field medal assembly. Congrats St. Jude's Academy.

For math today, we looked at conducting probability experiments and predicting the results.
Students worked in partners to predict the results if they draw counters from an envelope. The envelopes contained 7 red counters, 2 green, 2 blue, and 1 yellow. So in 40 draws we predicted that there would be more red counters picked than the rest. They kept track of their results as tallies.
What will it be?

After students, tried a similar task and created a spinner that is more likely to land on blue, eually likely to land on red or yellow, and impossible to land on green.

Here is a look at some spinners.

For UOI today, we worked on reading our group chapter of 'One Well' and began creating a skit. we went on another nature walk. We created a bird's nest using one hand because well...birds only have a beak to use! Then as a big group we made one large nest.
