Reminders for this week
Arts night outfits for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Arts night is Thursday at 7pm, please arrive at City Church for 6:15pm
Arts night forms are needed for your child to be bussed to the Church I have received most of them and sent home forms again with students who haven't brought them back.

Math - we learned about matching and describing congruent figures. We learned about congruency in our previous math unit on geometry and recalled facts that congruent means that the figure is exactly the same. So relating it to what we have been learning means that our figures are the same shape, size, colour, have the same number of vertices, same types of angles, lengths of sides. We realised that congruent shapes can change position.

My pictures may not be exactly congruent but they were able to describe the shapes as written on the right of the picture.

We figured out that we can put the shapes on top of each other to see if they are congruent.
But sometimes we don't have the ability to cut our shapes or have pattern blocks so we can trace them.
Not congruent because they are different sizes.

Language - we worked on our spelling for the week. 2a has a review lesson on pages 121-124. Students have been instructed to correct all their work from page 101.

2b words are on the right side of the blog.

We also worked on writing our spelling sentences in our blue journals in class. Not the spiral book this week.

No French today as Mme. Stella is away.

We had two arts night rehearsals and practiced our performance!
