Our spelling bee finalists from our class are Urvi and Amar, Joshua from Mr. Foster's class also joined us and is moving on as well. Aashrith, Rayna, Rayen, Hunter, Alexa, and Rohaan competed with the grade 3's today they worked very hard but unfortunately do not move on.

We practiced for arts night today, and had our spelling test. Students that were at choir or late will have their spelling test on Monday.




For math today, we learned about comparing and sorting figures using attributes.


We played a guess which figure game in which students were partnered up and had to give clues to figure out which figure their partner chose. We focused on using the attributes related to angles, right angles, parallel sides, and vertices.


For example one partner says
My figure has parallel lines, or my figure has one right angle, etc.

We then sorted our figures into venn diagrams.
One method of sorting we did was figures with parallel sides and figures with right angles.
We also did figures with equal sides and figures with 4 sides.

We worked on our Mother's Day craft. This took some time. We created a flower pot with popsicle sticks, melted crayons, and glued flowers on and decorated our craft.
