Agenda Notes
-Read for 20 mins
-Math worksheet [prisms and solids]
-Casual day Friday
-Spelling pg 125-128
-Grade 3 spelling package and review words
-Trip tomorrow wear PE clothes, bring water, disposable lunch, sunscreen and be here at 8:45am

For math today we looked at identifying prisms and pyramids again, really mastering what makes a prism and pyramid and practicing how to count faces, edges and vertices.

We reviewed the names of the following prisms
-rectangular prism, pentagonal prism, hexagonal prism, and although not one of the shapes we are counting what would a prism with two congruent octogans be called? An octogonal prism.

Also reviewed the following pyramids
-triangular pyramind, suare- based pyramid, hexagonal pyramid, pentagonal pyramid

As well as cones and cylinders.

Students played a 'guess who' version with the 3D-solids describing their attributes such as:
-My shape has 4 faces, and 4 vertices what could it be?

They individually worked on their worksheets identifying faces, vertices, and edges of 3D-solids using the actual figures. A homework sheet has been sent home for homework.

For Language/UOI today, we read chapter 5 of our novel study and responded to comprehension questions. Booga started us off.

We modelled how to answer with details from the story.

We were also introduced to our final summative for the year. I will be emailing this out to parents later unfortunately my laptop has crashed! :(
