-Math worksheet
-Spelling
-Write one sentence for each spelling word
-Cursive
(Spelling and cursive is due Friday)

Also please
Bring please back the trip form

After agendas we practiced and discussed our lockdown procedures.
We learned about where to go in the classroom and to lie or sit down quietly
When they announce it we have to walk to the area.
Meanwhile, the teacher will put up the curtains and lock the door.

IF
Students are in the washroom, they are to lock the door of the stall and stand on the toilet
If they are in the hallways to go to the nearest classroom.

Then, we went to PE with Mrs. Jans.

After PE we had math.

Today for math we looked at interpreting and comparing data using circle graphs and bar graphs.

First we collected data about our class's favourite fruit.

We talked about how a survey is used to collect data and use tally marks to record the data.
We discussed how tally marks are grouped into groups of 5. Why? Because IIIIIIIIIIII looks confusing and we can count by 5's, so it's much easier to group our tally marks into groups of 5.

Then we looked at 2 graphs with the same data. The graphs had information about student's favourite after school activities. We had to interpret each graph.

We asked each other questions about the graphs.
Which after school activity is the most popular?
Which is the least popular?
How many students like doing homework and playing games?
How many students were surveyed altogether?
Rank the activities from least popular to most popular and the other way around.

How do you KNOW that _____ is the most popular? (It is the biggest piece of the pie)

An interesting question came up
How do we know the amount of people for the circle graph people all be have is a piece of pie and a topic, but no specific numbers?

The point is...The bar graph has more information compared to the circle graph. So we can only answer basic questions with the circle graph.

Then we went to work on our worksheets.

After math, we had first lunch and recess.

After recess we had language. We did spelling today.

We went over our new words.

These are the spelling words this week:

1) feed
2) sea
3) meet
4) real
5) keep
6) week
7) deep
8) easy
9) beach
10) clean

What do they all have in common? They are all long e sounds!

We defined each word and categorised it into adjective, verb or noun before working in our workbooks

Then we went to French.

After French, we had second lunch and recess.

To finish off the day we observed, and recorded our science fair experiment. Here is a look at them on Day 4.

We noticed that the hot one has the most growth! The cold one has the least amount of crystals!

We worked in partners to record our observations.

After we began our procedure writing of the experiment and will finish tomorrow!

Have a wonderful evening.
