Wednesday!

Today's notes for agenda were:

-Cursive and Spelling pg. 18-21 are due Thursday
-International day tomorrow (wear traditional clothes or green and/or white)
-Read for 20 minutes

-Math worksheet

-Trip form due Oct 6
-PD day Friday NO School

Then we worked on our journals from yesterday.

After we went to PE with Mrs. Jans

After PE we had math. To kick start our new unit Patterns in Addition and Subtraction we had math activity centres.

One station was "I wish I had 10" students were shown ten frames and had to quickly identify how many more to make ten. They started challenging each other by showing more than 10 and their partner had to identify how many less they needed. 

And Hunter thought it would be funny to show three ten frames and have a super challenge.😂

Another station was math war! Student worked in their pairs and flipped over two cards. They had to add up their two cards. Who ever had to the higher sum took away all the cards.

Another station was working on word problems on either subtraction or addition.

And finally, another station was connect four. Students had to roll the dice and add the sum of the two die. If that number was on their scoresheet they covered it with Lego. Who ever connected four first won.

After that is was time for lunch and recess.

When we returned we worked on our journals again and added a Thanksgiving element and wrote about what we are thankful for. 

Then we had music, French, and second recess.

Afterwards we worked on our International Day preparations for tomorrow and got ready for home!
