Then we briefly worked on our UOI summatives befor going to PE with Miss Yustin.

When we returned we had math, we reviewed what slides are from yesterday, and learned about how identify and perform turns.

To start off we used a clock to demonstrate how the hands turn to tell time. Moving the hands to the three means it is a quarter turn. Moving from the 12 to the 6 is a half turn, moving from the 12 to the 9 is a three quarter turn and moving from the 12 all the way around to the 12 again is a full rotation.

We drew a few examples together.

BUT the shapes or figures don't always have to start at the 12, you can start anywhere.

After we practiced turning on the spot. We noticed that our feet don't move, and this point that doesn't move is called the turning point. To show that you can turn starting from any spot students practiced turning a quarter, half way, three quarter, and full rotations while facing the board, facing the back, and the sides of the classroom.

Students then had their task of drawing the turns of a pattern block and labelling it.

After we worked on our worksheets and when we returned after lunch we took them up.

Then we worked on our UOI projects.

We had Music with Mr. Oliver and French with Mme. Stella today check out their blogs to see what they have been doing in those classes.

When we returned from second recess we continued working on our project. Presentations are beginning Monday.
