Again today a large part of the day was spent on Christmas concert rehearsals.

For math today we learned how multiplication and division are related.

We started off with eight counters and made the multiplication sentence, we then turned it into a division sentence.

We used our knowledge of how to input numbers in an array to make both sentences. We learned that you can form up to four sentences, including 2 multiplication and 2 division sentences.

We rearranged the array to form 4x2 and 8.

After we modelled how to use arrays to form both multiplication and division sentences with different arrays.

We also did a division worksheet called math division run, we will do this again to see if our score and time can improve.

For UOI today we continued working on our cultural flag research. Students have been working on drawing their flag, greeting and information about their flag that they researched. We will continue working on it tomorrow.
